Attending a special meeting with former finance ministers
at the FKI Conference Center
On June 9, The Korea Institute For Education & Evaluation Advancement(CEO Seong dae geun)
We attended the "Economic Policy Direction Desired by the New Government" special talks hosted
by former Minister of Economy and Finance at Diamond Hall on the 3rd floor of the FKI Conference Center!
The special talks began with the opening speech of the Federation of Korean Industries Chairman Huh Chang-soo,
followed by a congratulatory speech by Minister of Economy Choo Kyung-ho and a commemorative photo session.
FKI, do you know what kind of organization it is?
The Federation of Korean Industries is called the Federation of Korean Federation of Korean Industries
The FKI is an organization that strives for the economic growth and development of Korea by improving the business environment,
raising awareness of social contributions, solving structural problems of the Korean economy, and suggesting sustainable growth
The special talk of the "economic policy direction desired by the new government" will be held at the event
With Kwon Tae-shin, the vice president of the FKI, as the head of the FKI,Former Minister of Economy and Finance Kang Man-soo, Yoon Jeung-hyun,
and Park Jae-wan, and former Deputy Prime Minister Hyun Oh-seok and Yoo Il-ho were on the panel for discussion.
The topic of the panel discussion was the direction of economic policy that the new government wanted, as the event name suggests.
In the debate, you diagnosed the current economic situation as a "total complex crisis" with low growth, high unemployment, polarization, and social conflict all intensifying.
It was a beneficial event with various topics such as stabilizing prices, blocking the possibility of an economic slowdown, proposing a referendum on pension reform, establishing a new National Finance Committee, and pushing for bold real estate policy and regulatory reforms.
Since the start of COVID-19, the economy has stagnated, and the atmosphere has stagnated not only in Korea but also around the world.
Even two years after the start of COVID-19, many things seem to have not been resolved yet.
Leaving behind the recent turbulence,
I hope that this stagnant atmosphere in Korea will be resolved soon through the solutions suggested in the special talks or various solutions.
Although it was stagnating a lot because of the complex reasons with COVID-19,
Now that COVID-19 is also calming down more than before, I hope everyone will work together to become a better Korea.
Then, The Korea Institute For Education & Evaluation Advancement will come back with good news and events next time!
Be careful of the hot weather and have a nice day!
