Attending the Youth Crisis Care Committee Forum held at the Galhyeon Youth Center Rest Area in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul
Korea Institute for Education & Evaluation advancement attended the Youth Crisis Care Committee Forum held at the Galhyeon Youth Center Rest in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul on the 30th.
A forum was held in the auditorium, as the rest area is wide
Director Cho Jung-hyun, the representative director of the youth center, explained in detail the current status of the main business and operation program
Galhyeon Youth Center Rest has been commissioned by Eunpyeong-gu since 2019 and operated by Angel's Haven, a social welfare corporation,
and is a youth complex where youth culture houses and youth shelters coexist, providing Galhyeon Youth Culture House and Women's Youth Temporary Rest.
I was once again surprised that Galhyeon Youth Culture House has so many activities such as youth culture space operation,
youth steering committee, youth club square Y.C.S., youth human rights and labor rights activities,
youth harmful environment monitoring activities, and promotions and campaigns!
In addition, Eunpyeong Women's Temporary Youth Shelter provides life support,
medical support, hygiene management, follow-up guidance, and emergency communication support for female teenagers aged 9-24 years old,
and provides career education and experiential activities and social adaptation programs through youth group counseling and psychological tests!
After hearing all the explanations about the major projects of youth center rest,
we had a rounding time to look around the facilities of youth center
On the first basement floor, there were many facilities such as club room, media room, auditorium, youth activity room, singing practice room, dance practice room, creative experience room, band practice room, and culture cafe ~!
And this is Eunpyeong Women's Temporary Youth Rest Area on the second floor. The facilities are very clean and nice!
I was relieved and happy to see for myself that teenagers were protected in such a safe and cozy space
Finally, we had a photo session with the chairmen of the Youth Crisis Care Committee.
It was a really meaningful time to visit Galhyeon Youth Center in person, visit the facilities operated here, and listen to projects for teenagers!
As the problems with out-of-home adolescents are getting worse, the community and adults are getting more interested
Korea Institute for Education & Evaluation advancement will also be more interested in these youth issues to find active ways to solve them, and to develop and support rational and systematic education programs to help such children!
Then, Korea Institute for Education & Evaluation advancement will come back with good news next time.
Be careful of the hot weather and have a happy day!
