[Job Post] Reporter Kim Min-soo = The Korea Federation of Arts and Culture Organizations (hereinafter referred to as the Korea Arts Association) said on the 24th that it was the first to be approved by the Ministry of Employment and Labor as a general art organization other than schools and academies.
The Korea Art Federation opened the Korea Art Institute's Lifelong Education Center in 2014 and was approved as a lifelong education facility by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, and under the Ministry of Employment and Labor's "National Lifelong Vocational Competency Development Act" in 2022, vocational competency development training courses can be provided to artists and local residents.
The Korea Arts Center plans to carry out various education and training programs suitable for the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution so that cultural artists, local residents, and students can flexibly respond to the changing society and adapt to the changed era. In particular, it is expected to focus on developing and operating media content-related processes and the 4th Industrial Revolution-related processes to further improve the current capabilities.
Lee Bum-hun, chairman of the Korea Arts Association, said, "Based on the past eight years of experience in running various programs such as crafting, East and Westernization courses for elementary, middle and high school students, and cooperative art activities, we will focus our capabilities on vocational skills development training projects from next year." Seong Dae-geun, vice president of the Korea Art Institute, said, "We will thoroughly prepare nearby residents, students, and cultural artists to return with great educational experiences in a pleasant environment without any burden," and "We will make efforts to provide new education to cultural artists and local residents through thorough market research."
