The Korea Educational Evaluation Agency invited CEO Sung Dae-geun as an ESG leadership speaker at the ESG conference "Global Growth Engine 2023 ESG Leadership" held at the National Assembly Hall on the 29th.

The ESG conference "Global Growth Engine 2023 ESG Leadership" was hosted by Collabo News and Yanggi National Assembly members and hosted by the Gyeonggi Information Industry Association, Eco-friendly Korea Co., Ltd., and ESG Collaboration Club, and was held at the National Assembly Hall.

ESG, the theme of the conference, is named after the acronyms of three words: "Environmental," "Social," and "Governance." ESG was first used in a 2004 UN report and has become a new investment standard rather than just a management method, and non-financial performance such as environmental, social responsibility, and governance, as well as corporate financial performance, has emerged as an important role in investment decisions.

ESG Conference "Global Growth Engine 2023 ESG Leadership" consists of parts 1 and 2, the first part of which was conducted by the conference and a special lecture by ESG experts, the second part featured a special lecture on ESG leadership, and CEO Sung Dae-geun presented as a speaker at the second part and a special lecture on ESG leadership.

The theme of Sung Dae-geun, CEO of the Korea Education Evaluation Promotion Agency, was "Companies Changing in the ESG Era, ESG as a Condition for Survival," and gave a presentation on ESG and corporate management.

CEO Sung Dae-geun analyzed the current ESG management trends of companies, starting with an introduction on ESG management and consumers, ESG management and society, and the relationship between ESG management and companies, and then analyzed the changing appearance of companies and their impact, and analyzed the impact on corporate value.

In addition, we analyzed ESG management from the perspective of SMEs and startups, which may feel difficulties compared to large companies in preparing for ESG management, and talked about why ESG management is necessary, benefits, and how to accept ESG management in various corporate forms, and analyzed the limitations of current ESG management and suggested the direction that ESG management should move forward.

Sung Dae-geun, CEO of the Korea Education Evaluation Agency, said, "ESG management is not a distant country, a distant future, nor is it a trend that can be overlooked. ESG management has become a value to be pursued continuously in the future, and it is an inevitable trend of the times. Accepting ESG and changing the way it is is a very difficult and arduous process, but if you continue to build a solid foundation through long-term and systematic planning, you can get even greater benefits. ESG management pursues change for the better.

In the coming future era, companies must prepare for change to fulfill their responsibilities as a company. At this conference, we wanted to talk about this trend of the times and how all companies can prepare without getting carried away by it. I was able to get a lot of information through the Global Growth Engine 2023 ESG Conference, and I think it was a good opportunity to organize my thoughts." Said.
