Seong Dae Geun, CEO of Korea Institute for Education & Evaluation Advancement,, announced that he won the Grand Prize in the "Korea Education Solution" at the 11th Korea Environmental Contribution Awards held at the Guro Community Center in Seoul on June 28.

Marking its 11th anniversary this year, the Korea Environmental Contribution Award was hosted by the Environmental Conservation Response Headquarters and organized by the Environmental Contribution Response Headquarters Organizing Committee, and was held to commemorate the 51st anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations in 1972.

The winners of this grand prize were awarded in six categories: individuals or organizations that have greatly contributed to the environment of the Republic of Korea, public officials, companies, society, overseas, and special activities. The final winners were selected based on their contribution to the environment, those who obtained achievement or certification for the environment, and participation in ESG activities.

Based on CEO Seong Dae Geun's management ideology, Korea Institute for Education & Evaluation Advancement, has been conducting ESG-based management long before ESG, which has recently become an issue, came out. As an education corporation and as an educator, it was difficult to see anyone in the fence of education being blindsided and enjoying the right to education fair and equal, and to miss opportunities or be neglected, so we are actively promoting state-funded education to respond to private education that takes education at their own expense, along with various social contribution activities.

In addition, thanks to various activities and steps, such as actively participating in various environmental challenges such as the "GoGo Relay Challenge" and the "Disposable Product Zero Challenge," and trying to spread good influence, Korea Institute for Education & Evaluation Advancement, and CEO Seong Dae Geun won the grand prize in the "Korea Education Solution" category in recognition of their achievements in education and ESG management and activities.

This year, Korea Institute for Education & Evaluation Advancement, plans to designate ESG management with self-reliance preparation youth (children who are protected) based on ESG management as a long-cherished project and provide detailed support in eight areas free of charge. As it has presented a new paradigm of combining education and ESG, it is expected to focus on promoting related projects and activities.

In addition, CEO Seong Dae Geun recently proposed to pursue ESGG beyond ESG in collaboration with Jeon Ha Jin, chairman of the SDX Foundation, and announced that he plans to conduct research and development of certificates based on ESGG, introduce after-school classes under high school students, and conduct state-funded education for college students, ordinary people, companies, and institutions.

Regarding this award, CEO Seong Dae Geun said, "I am happy to receive this award at the Environmental Contribution Grand Prize. As an educator, it is important to educate yourself well, but I think what kind of education you do is also important. In particular, the environment is not just a problem for anyone, nor is it something that only anyone should strive for. Recently, various problems have occurred around the world, such as climate change caused by global warming or waste disposal caused by the development of developing countries. We must pay a little more attention to the environment, protect and preserve it before it is too late." However, simply insisting on 'protecting and preserving the environment' will not be very effective. Since we need to educate the contents of this in detail and systematically, and I think that such education should be conducted for everyone, regardless of country, gender, age, etc., we plan to take the lead in promoting the combination of education and ESG to achieve this. Please watch the development of education and ESG management conducted by Korea Institute for Education & Evaluation Advancement in the future," he said.
