Reporter Choi Byung-soo of Gyeongsangbuk-do = Daekyung University (President Lee Chae-young) LINC+ project group held Family Company Day to share and spread the results of LINC+ projects, including continuous formation of industry-academic cooperation networks and introduction of business models.
The event was held at a restaurant on 42nd Street, an in-school workplace of Daekyung University, and became a venue for family company officials (CEOs, executives and employees) from Daekyung University to share and develop excellent industry-academic cooperation.
Of the 1,148 family companies at Daekyung University, 31 outstanding family companies, including Davichi Glasses Chain Co., Ltd. and The Korea Institute For Education & Evaluation Advancement, and 46 people participated.
During the event, there was also a plaque of appreciation for excellent family companies, including Lee Chi-woo, CEO of LCW Co., Ltd., Choi Young-hwan, CEO of Jinseong System, Kim Jong-gil, CEO of Davichi Glasses Chain, Sung Jae-won, CEO of MC The Moon, and Seong dae geun CEO of The Korea Institute For Education & Evaluation Advancement.
Along with Family Company Day, the Capstone Design Exhibition was also held to change the perception of members of the in-school and overseas industry-academic cooperation-friendly curriculum and to spread outstanding Capstone design achievements.
The "Capstone Design Exhibition" is a place where students show off their achievements made by participating in planning and production, and a total of 22 works were exhibited in 15 departments.
Family company officials who saw the students' exhibition with their own eyes said that the students' various and creative comprehensive designs were noticeable, and that they could sell the works as they were.
Also, if given the opportunity, they wanted to participate in the creative thoughts and production process of the students together.
President Lee Chae-young said, "Based on Daekyung University's ExpUp Station and various platforms, we will provide generous support so that family companies can meet to create a good synergy effect and students can develop together."
